I have a pair a brand new shock(struts) laying around in the shed, they were supposed to go on my 92 but I sold it, and one of my friend want them for his '86. I heard the 86 had smaller front brake..and different spindle.. is it true?

thanks

The pre 87 V8 cars had the same spindles as the 87-93 4 cyl cars, which have a wider mounting point for the struts. Depending on what struts you have, they might fit OK, or not. I had some Monroe stock replacements on my car and they came with the spacers for use on V8 cars, the spacers were not needed on the 4 cyl cars. But struts specifically for 87+ V8 cars are most likely too narrow for the 86 spindles.
