This car was purchased becuase of the oustanding body and I like the look of the front end better than that on my 86 GT. What I did was go through the motor on my 86 GT after pulling it and started converting the LX unto a sleeper car. I pulled the 4clylinders tranny,motor reaend,computer, wiring harness, fuel pump, and map sensor and switched it out with the one on the 86 GT.I took my time and done it right as you can see above it anything wasn't up to par to me I replaced it. This car's interior is in decent shape and there's no airbags because there's a GT grant wheel I purchased and installed it. This car is not completley finished because it has some electrical things to be wired up. The signal lights recently stopped working and what not but I beleive I blew a fuse because it was. The gauges are not working either other than the speedometer which is hooked to the tranny. I was going to take it in and have all the electrical done after the conversion but I havent't becuase I would have to ask for money and I think my price is very reasonable and any interested buyer would jump right on it. The body is in perfect condition from what I can see no dents at all the body is straight.(the reason why I purchase it) The paint needs to be redone but the body is all the way there. This is a very nice looking car with a very strong motor. The bushing in the driverside door needs to be replace also. The seats are very good condition but the brackest need to be replace because of some play in them. The back seat is siting freely in the back the interior was taken out of 88 GT and the bracket where taken out the 93 in order for it to fit but if need be I will include the orginal gray interior also it's not torn or ripped just dirty.The motor when taken out of my 86 GT only had 70000 miles on it and strong.Motor has no ping or knocks or misses. I call it the sleeper for a reason it's very quick and everyone who's rode in it have been impressed with what I put together myself. I will also just for good measures through in the original motor and tranny I beleive the motor has a blown head gasket not sure.I can be contacted at christophe.rice@insightbb.com or (217) 519-1511.
