75W90 is fine. Do not use any RTV, you don't need it. A gasket is the best way to make it seal. The RTV may seal at first, but eventually it will leak.

I had just RVT on my rear end and it sealed well. I just had it rebuilt at ford and I'm not sure if the tech used the gasket that came in the kit along w/ the RVT but I did have them put RVT back on it again. I also have an aftermarket girdle on the back, not sure how much of a difference that makes as far as using RVT VS using it on the stock cover.

Just did an gear oil change yesterday, their is no magnetic on the rear diff cover ? and auto part dont carry 75w90, so I get 75w140 mobil 1.
