I have a 1999 Mustang V6 and have a problem with the heater. When I turn on the car and try to turn on the heater it won't come on it blows cold air, however, it does come on after driving for 15 to 20 minutes, and after I drive an overpass. Does anyone have any idea what maybe causing this and how I can fix it?

well 15 - 20 minutes is getting close to a long time, but the heater is run off of the engine as the engine gets warm the heater gets warm, thats why they say if your car is overheating turn the heater on because it takes heat of the engine so i'm not sure why its taking so long to warm up.
