2.25 or 2.5 magnaflow muffler with gt takeoffs?

    I am buying mufflers to weld into gt takeoffs tomorrow. I am pretty much set on magnaflows since i heard they give a nice deep rumble although i am still open to suggestions. Which size muffler should i buy if i went with magnaflows? 2.25 inch or 2.5 inch. The takeoffs are 2.25 inch piping throughout.

    if the pipes you have are 2.25 then go with the same size muffler. you can get cheap magnaflows at www.hottexhaust.com

    2.25" is all you need for a v6 unless you're planning on running a supercharger. if you put 2.5" you have the possibility of losing backpressure.
