running long tube headers and 2.5" duals with an H pipe. no mufflers or cats. im running a 100 shot of Nitrous but i think i went a little to big on the exhaust. this is on a 302 with e7's with the exhuast bump grounded out.

The exhaust size is fine, but you should have some kind of muffler for back pressure.
100% straight pipes makes less power, not more on a mild street car.

There is nothing good to come from backpressure.

If you want to talk about resonant wavelength tuning, then go ahead and do so. But calling it backpressure is WRONG...

2.5" is NOT too big. Why would you think that?

Which form of backpressure are you talking about? The wrong length pipe or a restrictive exhaust system? I believe you are talking about the latter.

It is all bad.

Also, make sure you understand the difference between diameter and area.
