Hello everyone. The shifter (automatic) on my 2000 Mustang is really hard to move from gear to gear. A mechanic friend of mine told me that I should replace the cable before it breaks. Has anyone ever done this before that can give some advice before I try it. It doesn't seem like it should be terribly difficult, but I thought I'd ask here before starting the job. Any advice, tips or tricks is appreciated.....even if the advice is to take it to a mechanic!

Thanks
