2007 Shelby GT500 PICS/ORDERING/INFO

Im going to create this thread to continue the one that we lost.
Anybody got any new information on the pricing of this bad boy?
I am going to check with my dealership this evening about a deposit.

I just talked to a friend of mine at a ford dealership & they don't really know any more about the Shelby GT500 than we do at this point (including price). Ford has only stated that they will start for just under $40K. Basically at this point I think you are wasting your time/money on trying to put a deposit on one now. If you know someone at a dealership (preferably the owner) or someone in FoMoCo this would help you in the future in getting this car.

I got my May Motor Trend with the Shelby on the cover today. Motor Trend is quoted as saying the prototype is "95 percent product correct-meaning what you see is (mostly) what we'll get." And they state it is officially called the Ford Shelby GT500. They also admit to being wrong about it having a de-powered Ford GT engine in it(atleast they copped to it).
