I have a 2011 GT/CS with auto that is having some peculiar issues. Got an SCT tuner with BAMA tunes and it misses on acceleration up to about 2500 rpms. It runs fine stock. No DLC codes. 14.5mpg town, 23 highway. I drive the car moderately like I want it to last. Got an MMR CAI and Hushpower axle back exhaust. I have it set back to stock now because the miss is bothersome but you can tell there is a "little" more power and shift points are different and firmer but not 400.00 worth of power by any means.
Any suggestions, ideas. I datalogged in tuner and stock mode and the A/F seems to be about the same in both modes. I am convinced it is A/F probably and maybe should get a dyno tune. These SCT tuners and mass tunes are for the birds I feel.

Based on what I read here and on other Mustang boards, guys have been using Bama and other "canned" tunes for years with very few issues and most seem to be very happy with their purchases. But this is the 2nd post in about a week or so with a complaint. Probably coincident, but may Bama is having some issue and they need to look into it.

OP, I'm terribly sorry to hear that you are not running properly/pleased with our tune.

Have you contacted our Tuning Specialists at Bama to discuss the problem with them?

Remote tunes for bolt-ons are fantastic, but every car reacts different to them due to things like local gas quality, altitude, etc and for the best results, datalogs should be taken of the car during these problematic driving conditions. The datalogs can be used to make any necessary adjustments based on the above factors.

Being that you already have some datalogs ready, recalibration should be a breeze!

Give our Tuning Specialists a call and have them check the logs over to see if any adjustments can be made.

Again, I'm terribly sorry for any inconvenience or troubles, but I assure you my Tuning Specialists will get you running 110% ASAP!:nice:

Please let me know if I can be of assistance in the future!:flag:

From Mustang Forums, reply

Chris,
Ryan McDonald and I have been emailing back and forth. I have done everything BAMA asked. Ryan should have all my emails as I have sent all my info, data logs both stock and tune (91) as requested. My tuner is up to date thanks to AM's great work, I initially got a tuner that wouldn't update and you guys replaced it. It has the 3 custom tunes, loads fine but step on the gas (gently to moderately) an it flat misses in low rpms. If I get down on it it don't miss, just goes like crazy. I won't go into it, I know you are busy but this thing has got me. I got the tuner and tunes but they don't work on my car right for some reason. I took it in (stock obviously) and told Ford I was having some issues and they check out everything and found nothing. I will say, if I put on the stock intake and load a 91 ( I did this) the car did not miss as much but still missed and this is with a stock intake. I only run 93 octane Amoco in my car. Thanks for your time.
