On stock pony wheels. Can you guys think of any issues this may bring up? I know the tires are a bit shorter on the profile so the speedo may be off slightly....though I cant imagine very much.

Actually the tire will be right at the same height..the sidewall height is a percentage of tire width IIRC. So if you go from a 225/50 to a 245/45, numerically the number will be smaller but actually you will make up for it with the wider tire... I hope that makes sense... I know what I'm trying to say just can't get it out:(. 45% of 245 is really really close to 50% of 225
 
Any estimate on what the change in gear ratio would be with a tire that is about 1" shorter than stock? I have the tires on the car now and they fit pretty good. The sidewall is obviously a bit shorter than the 50's but being that the car is lowered it looks good I think. If it was at stock ride height, I think it would look like ass.
