250 degrees on alluminum heads

I've watched a whole lot of NASCAR and generally anything over 230 isn't good. Chances are good though that you didn't hurt anything since you wern't turning 9200 rpm for 2 minutes (I assume). Just watch your oil for any contamination.

Mine got that hot twice for a lot longer than 2 minutes while I was trying to figure out my cooling issues. However mine didn't get low on coolant and never boiled over. That happened over 6 months ago and so far no signs of trouble. The problem is if you were low on coolant it might have gotten a lot hotter than you think. Just keep a close eye on everything and re-torque your intake manifold and valve cover bolts just to be sure.

Good Luck, Don
