28" vs 31" summit Radiators

been searching on summit radiators and haven't been able to find any comparisons between these two. Would the 28" one require less fabrication, and be an easier fit or not? How big of a difference should there be between the cooling abilities of the two?

I was told that the 31 even though tighter was the one to get. I wouldnt think the cooling diff would be that different between the two. I am getting ready to start installing mine this Monday.

I got the Griffen 31" from Summitt for $189 and it is awesome. Save yourself $110 and get this radiator.

i have the summit 31 inch i had to take the bottom rubber mounts out for the hood to clear...stock hoses wont fit it either. width isnt the problem its the hiehgt 31 width wise fits fine.

The 31 is tight on just about every dimension. I had to pull the battery to install it and dent the hood ribs to make it fit. Its also tight in the radiator support. Cools like nuts though.

What hoses are you all using?

Yea what hoses? I was under the impression that if you warmed the hoses up and used some silicone they would slide on?

I just put one in a friends car and I had to trim the bottom ruber bushings down. I also used a custom hold down. He just bought some new factory Ford hoses and I had to use WD-40 and work them on but it works. It is a very tight fit but it does the job with cooling.
