28oz Flywheel for T5 swap

I'm buying parts for my soon T5 swap. I have some AutoZone gift cards that I need to spend and I need to know what year/model car has a 302 with the 28oz flywheel w/ 157 teeth which will work w/ my 65 289 automatic starter. My T5 is a WC from a fox body and I purchased a stock clutch kit for a 1990 mustang 5.0.

Thanks!

The 28 oz imbalance, 157 tooth flywheel is the same for a 289, 302 and 351.
The clutch you bought was probably a 10.5 diapraghm type and it will not mount up to a stock 280z flywheel because it mounts a 10 inch clutch.

You will need a 28 oz, 157 tooth that will mount a 10.5 (if that is what you bought).
You will probably not find them in a parts store.
Ebay has them for around 120.

I'm using a Ford Racing billet steel flywheel in my 68 right now. It's exactly what you need. 28 oz, 10.5 inch fox clutch with a T5. You can also use a Fidanza aluminum flywheel, I have one of these too and I like it because you can replace the friction and it comes with a 50 oz and a 28 oz weight.

I can return the 10.5" clutch kit and buy the 10" clutch kit w/ a stock flywheel (28oz, 157 teeth for a 10" clutch) to keep my cost low.

What model and year should I look for on the flywheel and clutch kit to acheive this?

Or.......is there a major advantage of the stock 10.5" clutch Vs. the stock 10"? If so I will just buy the 10.5" flywheel off of ebay and quit being a cheap a$$. Thank you!

The stock 10.5" clutch for the 64-70 289 High Performance and BOSS 302 will fit the stock 289/302 157T wheel perfectly. Glazier/Nolan sells this clutch as a kit, p/n G06124.

I'm getting ready for this swap too... I have a fox t5, I bought a 10.5 centerforce for my 68. Will the autozone 157 tooth 28 oz flywheel for the 68 not work?

I do not know what stock flywheel came with 157 teeth and 28oz for my fox 10.5" clutch. From what I have gathered from this thread there is not a stock part that matches this description. So I will likely buy the one in the eBay link below.
