i got my 18" rims and now im finally deciding on tires. Im going to go with 295-35-18 for the rear. i cant figure out what i should get for the front. I can either get a 265-35-18 or they offer a 275-35-18. both the 265 and 275 will haave a smaller diameter then the 295 but would the 275 be to wide and rub? My car is lowered on h&r supersport springs

Eaither a 275/35 or a 265/40. I have 275/40 in the front and while the front and rears are only 1.2mm difference in size I wish I woulda gotten the 275/35 instead. Upside is the ride is the best I ever had in a Stang :nice:

ya, i was looking at the 265-35-18 and the 275-35-18 for the fronts. definitely 295-35-18 for the rear. the 265s seem to be a dramatic difference is size compared to the 295

These cars are heavy on the nose. Wide fronts are good for reducing understeer in my opinion. My 275/35s are great. KDW2s rock.

i just used the tire size calculator. thanks lasersvt
heres what i found
245/45/17
sidewall 4.3"
diameter 25.7"
circumference 80.7

295/35/18
sidewall 4.1
diameter 26.1"
circumference 82.1

265/35/18
sidewall 3.7"
diameter 25.3"
circumference 79.5"

275/35/18
sidewall 3.8"
diameter 25.6"
circumference 80.4"

looks like the 275/295 are the best match together and the closest to stock tire size. I dont want the wheel well to look to open. I am lowered with h&r supersports

Its really a silly debate between 265 and 275s. Its 1cm. You'll barely tell the difference. Theres more variability between brands (for the exact same width tire). Nittos for example always run narrow.

I'd say 265's. I know I've got 275/40/17's up front and can't wait to wear them out so I can go narrower. It tracks the road way too much. It could be the tires, but most of it is the width. On the Nitto's, I believe the regular 555's measure true, it's just the drag radials that are narrow.
