this question is for you hard core drag racers out there. Not sure which gears to go with. I had 3.73 in my stock block nitroused 88 5 speed which worked well for shifting at 5400rpm through the traps to mid elevens. With my new 89 I am building I already have a new motor, a 331 stroker with Pro Comp 190cc heads, Comp cams cam, Trick flow Track heat intake etc, 5 speed. Car should make power to 6500rpm ( although may be shifted somewhere around 6000 to 6300rpm, wont know until all together ) and will be using a 150 shot of NOS. Which gear is better suited to that rpm band in the quarter mile? anyone out there have some experience to help the decision?:nice:  :flag:

Thank you, that calculator works great. Looks like if I want to go low 11s or even high 10s eventually, then the 3.90s are the way to go, the 4.10s will be too much gear for a 6300 rpm shift to get the right mph.

thanks:nice: :D :flag:
