Do it! In one of your cars, I'm sure it wouldn't take that long.

Thanks for the post guys. Videos are on memory stick, I just have to get them from my business partner. It's going to be 55 minutes of blur, and maybe 5 minutes of video you can actually see. I'll take a look tom and figure out someway to upload and post them.

I wouldnt be surprised if I can go 180, but I don't have the balls to go that fast in a mustang. IMO mustangs aren't high top speed cars like Vettes, Supras, Lambos, etc. Things start to get unstable around 140+mph.

how do the new cars(s197) do at high speeds compared to the new edge cars? Some of the Super Snakes were doing 190-210mph, which I thought would be extremely scary in any car, let alone a mustang.

At 130 my Cobra got light and then at 150 it setteles back down and by 160 it felt solid again.
Only stayed on it another few seconds after the speedo stopped moving but it felt good.
Suspension is key to keeping a Stang stable at high speeds.... well most cars really. :rlaugh: But more so on the Stang cause unlike Vetts and Lambos it does not have a belly pan. The Cobra nose does a great job of moving the air instead of pushing it under the car. I wouldnt want to go that fast with a GT nose.

Must be hard to get the good information off of here when you can't either read, or have the cognitive capacity of an eight year old. Just stop already. :ban:

I can't believe you got to check out a Gumpert up close like that! Those are some seriously badass cars. Were there any Veyrons or Enzos? I figure if top speed is part of the game here, those two would have made an appearance.

I wish, but no. I would have guessed the Veyrons would run 210-220ish, give or take. It's hard to say. The stock ZR1's were in the mid 190's. Just by observation, it seems like most 700-1000 hp cars were around 200-220.

I went by Hennessey Motorsports in Sealy TX this morning, on the way back from San Antonio. I got to see all of their cars up close and talk to the owners. That shop is the most amazing shop I have ever seen. Their 4 door Caddy went 185 on Saturday, and I got to sit in the white Ford GT that went 224, 219, 226, and 228 that I posted in the pics. It's the sickest car I have ever seen.

When Top Gear did a mile race of the Bugatti Veyron vs. the Mclaren F1, they said it got up to a little over 320kph (198mph). So you're probably close.

You mentioned timing the runs earlier. I think that's a great idea. It would make it more competitive.

got some videos uploaded, like I said, about 80% either did not come out, or were too long to upload bc we forgot to turn off the camera, and I don't know how to edit. These are just a couple of the cars, porsches, the Gumpart, C5, C6's with 1 or 2 blowing up, an S197 saleen, 2 s197 cobras( I think both blew up), and a sweet custom hot rod. Please disregard any incorrect commentary. It was hard to see, even with out having plenty of adult beverages in our system.
