Ok so I have a 1989 ford mustang gt, it has 273,000 miles on the the orignal transmission but when I bought it the previous engine got a new 302 crate engine, I am not sure were he got the engine or anything. The car does not smoke at all no knocking sounds or whining sounds, just have a engine sputter. For a example if you are at a dead stop and hold the clutch in and rev it about 4800 rpms and dump it, it just bogs/sputter's it does not fall on its face then it goes back down around 2,000 rpm's then it goes right back up to normal. Also if you are power shifting it at 4800 rpm's it does the same thing. The check engine light is on could it be that, or a sensor? Also maybe the air to fuel ratio may be off? If you all need any more info let me know.

Thanks for all replies:nice:

Yes it could be the tps sensor or the 02 sensors causing your problem..but you may want to check your codes to make sure which one it is before you buy all kinds of new sensors.
