Well, finally got my 306 in this weekend. Had a little delay as I stripped a thread down in the the intake for the upper. Had to drill and retap and find a bigger stud. Moment of truth came she cranked over a couple seconds and then barked, ran a little rough untill we found the sweet spot on the distributor. Set the timing around 14*, adjusted the idle screw, filled the radiator, and checked for leaks. Oil pressure hangs aroung 50-55 at idle and shoots up a little past 60 when revved. Temp stayed right below 200* the whole time. Has a nice lope at idle, revs cleaner, faster, and harder than the stocker and will only get better as it gets broke in. Unfortunatly the X-pipe didn't quite bolt up to the cat-backs right and they were rubbing the control arm so I couldn't drive it, plus I need to tie the O2 extensions out of the way. Seems to be running a little rich even though I kept my stock injectors and MAF and only bumped the pressure up a one or two pounds. Overall I'm very pleased with my first engine rebuild and can't wait to see what she's got!
