I wanna get a set of 315s out back cause its about time for me to get all new tires all the way around and im going to get 10.5 in deep dish bullets to go with them. The tire im looking at is Sumitomo High Performance HTR Z Tire (315/35-17). Now my question is will these be too wide meaning sticking out of the fender. If it sticks out a bit thats fine with me and will I have any rubbing on the exhaust pipe. Im looking for good traction because 2.3 60's just arent cutting it for me at the track. Up front I think im just going to go with the stock 245s or go up a little bit to 255s. And if you know of any other goods brands let me know thanks.

It will not be too wide at all. It looks real good. Here is a pic of mine. 315s out back with Sumos HTr Z, Oh, and no rubbing issues at all.

Yea my tires are pretty crap last time at the track I was spinning like crazy launching around 2500 and giving it a pretty good slip i was running 2.3s and my best time was a 9.3 1/8th mile but it was also 94 degrees out that day too and i had to bump the timing a bunch to even squeeze that 9.3 out of it. On stock tune i hit a 9.2 at 79.8 and i couldnt get anywhere near that trap it was dying big time on the top end. Its amazing how much temp can effect the car.

Thanks for all the pictures and the replies.:SNSign:

I'm running 275's in the front and 315's in the back with zero issues. Lowered with the eibach prokits.
As far as how well they hook at the track can't answer that one when I go racing I roll on the et streets.

Hvcobr99 - I got a buddy with a 97 cobra he runs 255's in the front and 285's in the back.
