I'm building a 331, what do you guys think of my plans? and roughly how much power and torque might it make.
The specs:
336 cubic inches
1968, 302 block .060 over Zero decked + balanced 10.86:1 compression
3.250" stroke.
5.315" rods
Forged flattops
A.F.R. 185's 58 c.c. 2.02-1.60 valves
Comp Cams 294s Solid flattappet
.569 Intake .569 exhaust lift
250 degrees at .050 Intake + exhaust
Lobe seperation 110
Cam will be installed on a 106 I.C.L.
comp roller rockers
Intake will be a R.P.M. Airgap with a Demon 650 C.F.M. Carb.
Complete M.S.D. ignition.

This engine will be going into my 85 G.T. It runs mid 12,s now with a 306 C.I.D. engine in it . The car has a T-5 , locker rear with 4.33 gears in it and also has 1 3/4" long tubes , 2 1/2 " Exhaust. I'm looking to run in the 11's Do you guys think It will get me there? The car also has a complete suspension with Southside lowers, Double adjustable uppers, 90/10's, 50/50's +air bags. E.T. Streets at the track only. A hydro roller cam is out of the question. I like soilds. This is a street/strip car that I drive sometimes 300 miles on trips. What do you guys think? The current combo has a Offenhauser lowrise dual quad intake manifold with 2 Edelbrock 500's on it and it works great. I might try it on the new combo but I think it will starve the engine for air. I also might try a Victor Jr. intake. As I have all three.
