Well, since I sold my TW's I am probally going to buy a set of AFR 205's soon. I was just wondering who is running these heads on a 347. What kind of powerband do you see?

I read an artical about a setup like this making 575HP at the flywheel or something, can't remember where. I doubt I'll make power like that but it's nice to know it's been done. I think my setup is comming togeather.

Demon carb (750-850)
Victor Jr. intake protmatched
AFR 205's
347 10.5-11:1 compression. Balanced. (RNH Performance/Probe/Scat)
Solid Roller Cam (FTI custom or Jay Allen)
1 3/4ths LT's (probally Hooker Supercomps) X-pipe

I've got so far, yet so close....

Its a good set-up,the other heads I would look at are TFS "R" heads. (there claimed "206cc" portes as cast)

It should go into the 10's n/a and 9's on spray.

10's N/A is what I'm looking for. The car is going to be pretty light, 2600-2700lbs or so.

It will be driven on the street, not as in a daily driver, but for a little fun. So I can't go all race, but as close as I can, I will.

So far, I have sold some old parts, and all that I have now is the 347 rotating assembly on order from Rick 91GT. I'm saving my money from what I sell, and putting more towards it, hopefully have it running this year.

my brother has a 331 with afr 185 heads. he made 465 on the dyno. he is going to upgrade to the 205 heads. but his setup is very similar to yours. what specs are on your cam? his is a lunati hydraulic roller, 565/575 lift.
he doesn't have any power til 3500 rpm. he dyno'd 465 at 6600 rpm.
