Engine 347 Too Loud

Guys I built up a nice 347 and by the time I got it running, I grew a few years older and that coupled with the bigger motor displacement has created a dislike for how loud this thing is. I have a MAC 2 1/2 " cat-back now and I'm wondering what is quieter. I want it to be about as loud as a muffler only car. Basically, I don't want to burst my ear drums every time I go WOT. Any suggestions?

I run mine with OEM Ford mufflers, Mac LTs, Prochamber, 2 1/2 tails and it sounds nice. You can hear its got some sack, yet no drone or the like. My muffs are the originals so there kinda broke in.
I almost ordered some Mac muffs for mine.. but I kinda like being outta site when it come to the law...

I've got a set of Magnaflows on my car and they are really nice, nice and quite and you can still enjoy the exhaust note without it driving you nuts but also sound great when you jump all over it. I also have the BBK long tube headers with the BBK Catted X pipe into the magnaflows and then the stock tailpipes.

That pretty much says it all. You have a chambered muffler, which not only makes it loud, it also makes it sound like a Harley. If you run a straight through muffler, it will make it sound better.
