How can you tell if you had a set of old 351 heads on a mustang? I know the E7's say it in the lifter valley, but these are not E7's...This car is an 88 and running a carb'd motor since the factory one caught fire. Any casting numbers I should look for? I do see the number 7025 in the lifter valley. It might be 7026...my eyes are as good as they used to be :) I also see the letters CP towards the back of the head..

Thanks,

Smoke

Easiest way would be part #. The early smaller chambered heads had C9 and D0 part numbers and also had a dog-legged water passage on the manifold side.
