351 windsor valves question

I have a set of 1984 351 windsor heads and on the valves in the center of the springs theres these red like vibration dampers what are they there for and can I get rid of them? I was gonna go with a double valve spring setup and it wouldnt fit in there with those springs

single spring with damper, ya pitch it all in the trash if you have new springs, set install height and boogy

there not the valveseals are they, i doubt it but ya never know. woodys prolly right!

Nah if there the valve seals I was going to replace them anyway so when I got the new ones I'd know but I think they are dampeners they sit halfway up the valve stem in the spring and are almost as large as the spring in diameter and I have never seen them before on any other 5.0/351 I got the heads used but they have been ported and valve job.Just not new springs I have no idea why.Any other takers just to make sure? I mean if I screwed up the valvetrain after dumpin this money into the engine I'd really be F****** pizt
