If you have a 351w and the stock V8 Mustang II radiator, what kind of hose are you using? Mine doesn't work with the hose that I had for it, the lower radiator hose works, the upper isn't the same.

My 351w is from an '83 Ford LTD I believe.

Thanks for any help.

I have a 351W from a 78 LTD.stock replacement radiator from Griffen with a filler cap on top. When I need a new top hose,I go to the parts store near me,(no,not autozone or any other chain) and Bill the parts guy let's me size up what I need. It's usually an "s" shape that I have to cut one end down.

There is a difference in the angle of the thermostat housing, the 302 goes straight up,and the 351W goes at a 45 deg.

Only a portion of the '75-up 302's were 90* (straight up). All the pre-'74 302's and all 260/289's were 45* housings (angled) Post -'78
pretty much everything was 90* or would be soon.
Milk those 60's Fords for all they're worth!! :D
Just a little FYI :nice:
