3G alternator question

I have a 3G polished ALT. I am wanting to put on my 1995 Cobra. Do I have to change the gage of wires or the fuse? Are these 3G alternators putting out that much more power, that I need to beef up the stock wiring?

Also, I have a fox body alternator pulley that is larger than the stock 95 cobra pulley...meaning that if I put the Fox pulley on there it will slow down the rate of revolutions the alternator recieves compared to the stock (95) pulley which is smaller in diameter. Would this be enough to curtail the potential amperage influx problem until I update the wiring? (Provided, I have a problem or concern in the first place.)

Peace, PURE VNM

A 130 amp 3G is stock on 94-95's. That said, I think upgrading to 4 AWG fused cable is always a good idea.

I don't like underdriving the alt (esp if you have a stockish idle). And once you're turning some decent RPM's, the diminished alt speed per engine RPM should be moot.

Good luck.
