If you already have a Predator a custom tune on it can do everything a custom tune on a XCal 2 or chip can do. It's just a different device to deliver the settings to your PCM. Personally I wouldn't sell a Predator already in hand to buy a XCal 2.

I'm thinking I might try out a custom tune. There goes another $120. :(

If they can adjust my partial throttle shifts though, that would be worth it to me I think.
  5. Dark Knight GT I can't get it up......ok that didn't sound right.

Make sure the people you chose to have tune your car are people with a worth-while reputation. Meaning, don't trust some "off-the-wall" shop to do it. If you're going to pay to get it done, get it done right. SCT is one of the best known tuners for Mustangs so I highly recommend them.

I did experience that so call 3-4 shudder with the 3.27 on the car. I would say that my tranny cooler and the fluid flush took care of 99% of that shudder symptoms.

My 4.10 came after the cooler and the flush and i never experienced any problems with down or up shift of the tranny. I would even say that when i let off of the gas while in 3th gear, the car down shif real easy and it even looks like a 5s tranny manually downshifted.

Im using the crappy hypertech and i did lowered all my shift point by 500rpm except the 3 to 4 shift. That probably help about the hanging in gear before upshifting

I think there s a TSB on the tranny shudder. Only way to get rid of it is fluid flush, tranny cooler and appropriate oil.

    Just my 0.2

Thanks man. I did the flush, filter change, and set all my shift firmness settings with the diablo to "Stock" for Partial Throttle, and as hard as they'll go for WOT.

That is helping a lot. I sure hope they put the right oil in mine though. :( Unfortunately I did not check on that.

I think if I got the partial-throttle shift RPMs changed to a little lower, I'd be happy with that. But, like I said, the car doesn't completely suck at shifting, it's just a little annoying to have that shudder. Other than that, it's sweet. :D
