4:11s on the highway?

First off, 4.11s are a GM gear. Fords have 4.10s. :nono:

Second it depends a bit on how tall your tire/rim combo is. On my Ponys with somewhat low profile tire (245/50) i run around 2700rpm at 70mph. Taller tires will help bring your highway RPMs down.

That's what I thought....but everybody here in my brokerage firm was telling me that 4:10s were a GM gear and that Ford's were the 4:11s. Sorry about that.....but anway. :nonono:

Shoot! 3k rpms is NOT that bad with 4:10s. Everybody else opined that 4:10s (4:11s) would put me at around 4k rpms on the highway. I didn't think it would wind me up THAT high....but, in any event, thanks for clearing that up for me. :D
