4.6 3v mustang vs. explorer

What is the difference in the engines, im looking to buy a 3V motor and wanted to get the best one I can. Plan on running the FMS control pack so It seems like it will run any 3V motor and then I have to get it tuned.

Thanks for the input, hope I can go with the explorer motor because people seems to sell those cheaper.

I believe the explorer is an iron block but don't quote me on that. Cam profiles are different too.

The explorer block is an iron block while the 2005+ Mustang block is aluminum, but they do use the same aluminum heads.
