425 RWHP on NA 96-98 GT

If he's talking about crank hp, its possible but not likely. 425 is about what KenB would be seeing at the crank with his 368rwhp. That is "maxed out" though. It comes down to volumetric effeciency. a 281 cubic inch engine at 100% ve will pump 281 cubic inches of air every two revolutions. It takes one hell of an engine to reach 100% ve. You can calculate ve required to produce a cretain hp with this formula.
REQUIRED VE = ( 9411 x HP x BSFC ) / (DISPLACEMENT x RPM)
1.03 = ( 9411 x 425 x .45 ) / (281 x 6200) or 103% ve

Of course you can allways try to spin it faster, but this was base on Kenb's max 368hp at 6200rpm

Seriously- Rebuilt engine, with head work, aggresive cams, intake, 116 octane, hi compression, etc. Theres plenty of them out there..Although most are not daily drivers.
You've been drinking anti-freeze again, haven't you? You're still gonna end up about 100rwhp short!

I just looked at him when he said that.
He told 425 rwhp.
I asked what ya got SC, NOS, Turbo, what?
He says I dont do that chit NA baby.
I said reeeeeeeeeealy.

What do you say to that?
you tell him that he is full of **** and why that isnt possible yet on modular engines. Heads dont flow enough, bore is too small, intakes suck. etc etc
