460 swap....oil pan

i am building my 460 now, got all the parts back from the shop and got a new engine stand.

question, this will be a budget build. what stock oil pan will work, any FRONT mount pan for a 460, or a 4x4 truck pan????

do you have to take to sway bar off to fit the engine in?

You need a rear sump pan... Ford sells a swap pan kit

Even if you get one from a wrecking yard, you'll need the pickup tube too..

look on Ebay for the ford racing swap kit, a rear sump pan is the only pan that will work, and a truck pan will be way too deep and hit the P/S rack if you're using p/s and swap motor mounts. Nothing needs to be disconnected to put the motor in, just be sure to set the headers in place when lowering the motor in or you'll be kicking yourself like i did.
