ive done a lil bit of searching and i see that some people have had issues with the replacement timing covers from 5.0 resto.

saw where a few people recieved the wrong one completely when ordeirng the one for 87-93.

does anyone know where i can get one and get it righ tthe first time? i dont want to chance getting the wrong one and having to send it back.

this is the only one i can find.

    http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/iwwida.pvx?;item?item_no=LRS-6019K 1&comp=LRS

and LRS want $18 to ship it!! they must be smokin rocks.. it used to $15 (which is ghey) now they have this $3 credit card fee cause they provide "protection".

whatever, i need a new cover so if anyone can steer me in the right direction please do.

I guess there are no junkyards in your area, timing covers seem to be all over the ground around here.

I have a JY, and I get calls for them all the time for 5.0L and 5.8L Fords. I never have any, (only because he don't take them off good engines) But people tell me they can't find them anywhere.

I had the same deal a month or so ago, trying to find one for my build. It is crazy the prices they want for them. No way was I paying over a hundred bucks for a piece of stamped aluminum. I ended up getting a brand new one with gaskets on ebay for $68. Seemed to be the best place to find them, as it is hard to find foxes the in JYs here too.

Really. Are they the same for all EFI 5.0's, (excluding the MN12, SN95, and Explorer) because there are a lot of Crown Vics, non-HO and some HO fox cars in the yards around here. Are the alternator brackets valuable too, because there was one laying around next to a tempo and I wish I had the money to rescue the good body T-top stang there.

They never have the parts I want. Now if I could find a Mark VIII fan or an Aerostar driveshaft because they cost $16 bucks.

Yeah, except for the obvious oddballs, I think they are all the same. I cross-referenced one for an 87 LTD and it supposedly crosses with Mk7s and foxes

Join the club, I just mentioned that because I've ran into some wierdos that won't use anything else. Postal money order would be fine with me.
