I have a 1989 Mustang 5.0 with Thunderbird Coupe 8.8 Rearend. I am interested in doing 5 lug conversion, and wondering if I can use driver side 83-92 ford ranger axle with the Thunderbird Coupe rearend.

Yes you can however the axles are not as long as the T-birds. This will pull the rotor hats towards the housing. You would need to get the North Racecars brackets which bring the calipers in 3/4". This was I will be doing myself. As for a 5 lug rotor hat i have seen online 5 lug t-bird hats but Jrichker's has some data on using a Masda MVP front rotor with a 1/4" spacer under to get you a cheap 5 lug alternative to redrilling or buying a custom set.
