Ive searched to no avail. My factory head unit in my cobra is going out-gets hot then quits. I really like the factory look in my car and would love to get the 01+ setup (i.e. the 6 disc). How much wiring do I have to do to make this work? Has anyone done this? Thanks in advance for your help.

I made a post about this (somewhat, I asked about the center trim piece) so I'm curious as well.

I'd really like to keep the OEM look. I know they sell complete systems on eBay (didn't seem to outrageously priced) that came with the all the wiring.

This is a new area for me. I've not done car audio work in 12+ years and I'm not sure how the 460 system is made up.

My car does *not* have the 460 system in it, so I'd imagine there's a ton of wires involved.

The mach system in your 99 is different than the mach system in the 01. Yours has 3 amps and the newer version only has 2, so that right there would probably be enough of an issue to look elsewhere for your needs. Also, with the amount of work required to install the newer, bigger radio into your dash it would also be more work/$ than it's worth. I've done it with aftermarket double dins, but trying to get a factory one in would be harder, as there would be nothing to mount it to once you cut out the subdash to fit the radio in.
