After a few weeks break, due to a lack of enthusiasm, I installed the tail lights on my newly painted body last night :nice: .
I want to install the trunk lid weatherstripping but I see that there are no clips, it's simply attached with adhesive. Does anyone have any installation tips for me?

1. Where should the weatherstripping joint be? Above the lock?
2. What type of adhesive is recommended?
3. How is this applied? One side, both sides etc?
4. How much is needed?

I want to try and make this installation as neat as possible so I would appreciate any feedback.

The seal goes on the trunk lid, open end of the "U" pointed inboard. I use 3-M weather strip adhedive(yellow), apply even coat on weather strip & trunk lid, wait till tacky dry, Start in the center rear of the trunk lid work around ending back at the center rear. Dont stretch as you go along, and cut about 1/2in long to allow for shrinkage, butt the ends together glued.
