What to do. I finished stripping my 2nd 66 FB project car today. This is a real "A" code 4 spd car. THe 289 looks original - C6AE-6015-C, but the problem is the trans. Someone took the 4 spd and stuffed in a loser 3 spd. Even bolted the 4 spd shifter on it.
So, my plan was an all original stock restoration. THat means buying a 4 spd toploader. However, I have a T-5 (out of my 93) that needs rebuilt.

From a resale perspective, how much would the T-5 hurt the value of the car, making everything else original, or would it help the value to do the conversion?

I'm going t put the K-H disc brake kit on it too-just can't leave the drums on it. And was considering swapping in a 68 collapsable steering column for safety. Everything else will be bone stock. Not even putting A/C on this one...
