So I talked to the guy at local machine shop and he said I don’t have to notch anything to make roller lifters fit because they are so tall. So I guess I could just order those and have to use shorter pushrods. He also said I don’t need to put a spider in either. Weird. Does that make sense to anyone?

So right now my plan is to do that, and if possible use my current edelbrock performer heads, cam, intake. and get a forged stroker kit.

You realize you still have to measure for correct push rod length, right? Also, what heads are you using?

Horse is right, will have to use the spider and guides. Sounds simple, just get an adjustable push rod to measure your correct length. Also, make sure you figure your rocker ratio and spring rate. Thats the problem with doing something custom, its on you to do the math. Let us know if you need any advice, good luck.

I am currently running these.

So sounds like I should be able to use the retrofit roller lifters w crossbars and Not need a spider. As long as the lifters have space under the head to move and then find the right pushrod length. Have to double check my rockers are either 1.6 or 1.7.

Thanks! when I do this I plan to film it like I do all my projects to put on my youtube channel that no one looks at. :)
