7.5 Rear

Just picked up a posi center section for my 7.5. Will it hold up behind my 351 ?

Around town sure. You put any pressure on it at the strip or playing weekend warrior between stoplights it won't last long.

depends on how much power you are making and how hard you lean on the rear end.

Everyone disses the 7.5 but that's what ls1 f bodies had from the factory and they would lay down almost 300 to the wheels. Like said depends on power levels abd how hard you push it

Well I don't plan on being Don Garlits, just smoke'em once in a while.

No slicks, and it could outlast a T5 and sure will outlast an SROD. Carefully set all tolerances backlash etc.

I was happy with adding a Ford L/S in a 7.5" rear with a 302 4bbl in a 79. I drove it fast, but did not full on power shift after blowing second.

Nope, no slicks just 17 by 8's.Old enough to know tires cost money.

If all of this is over a set of all season tires, that rear should hold up very nice. hehe
