'73 mach 1 hood locks

I'm wanting to retro fit the hood of my mach 1 with hood locks. I would guess cutting the holes in the hood to be easy enough, but I don't have any info if the holes are beveled or recessed for the locks to fit flush with the surface of the hood. Does anyone have a close-up photo they can post or tell me what needs to be done to get a factory look? I don't know a soul in the area where I live that has a mustang that I can look at to get an idea of what I need to do.
