Will a 8.8 from a Fox body fit on a 1998 V6. I'm guessing it's not as long, but how much shorter is it and would it just bolt in or what?

And they say it's easier to just swap a supercharged 3.8 SC engine than just the supercharger. So how easy is that. Do all the electronics just bolt up or what?

why the need for the 8.8? the 7.5 isn`t that bad. my procharged 98 with 7.5 and 3.73`s is fine and pushing 300rwhp. i have a friend with a V8 ranger with 450+rwhp and the 7.5 loaded with 3.45`s and T-lok with 295-50-15`s and has been fine for over 3 years on it

i just put a rear girdle and stud kit on my 7.5 because i`m heading for more power real soon

the girdles costs $159 and stud kit is about $30.00 from www.taperformance.com

click here for a pic of my 7.5 with the girdle http://www.mustangmods.com/data/8456/pics.2_031.jpg

the red circles in my pic is where the girdle hit my procharger in-line fuel pump. i had the move the pump back to clear

Ya but I would spend $400 on just upgrading the gears to 3.73 and still have a weaker rear end and no limited slip. I can get a 8.8 1990 stang GT rear for $200 OBO.

Are they the same length? I heard the axles from a 7.5 and 8.8 interchange, so i can just use my axles and brakes, correct?
