i threw in a 8 quart deep-sump milodon oil pan.
after getting everything hooked up, i turned the key and there was a bad knock.
the balancing weight on the flywheel was hitting the spacer plate between the block and the tranny. this was caused by the oil pan. the back lip of it pushed the spacer plate into the bell housing area just enough to strike the balancing weight. i had to drop the tranny and grind off about 1/16th of an inch of the pan and replace the spacer plate in order to get everything to fit propperly.
just thought i'd give anyone that has/is planning to use this pan a heads up.
