Alright so the brother's 86 got the dads 11 second GT40P motor. This is a good time to see what it can do in a 100% street car. The short block was replaced with a stock 95 one due to over heating and other issues. With 3.55s, no real suspension mods, and no huge weight savings we expected it to run alright. It had been 12.67 last time out. My brother had only been 12.80. This time out the car ran a string of 12.80s with him driving, because of the HUGE bog the car would get (as seen in this video). Last run I told him to rev limiter launch it, and sure enough...

car went 12.54 @ 107 with a 1.73 60'. The video is of a 12.84 pass, and the starter threw him off, which is why it was slow. Should go some 12.3s in cool air, when he gets used to driving a fox over his 06.

GT40P heads, Cobra intake, stock cam, full exhaust, MAF, TB, Filter, Pulleys, 3.55s. Mine traps mid 107s with E7s, stock cam, Cobra intake and all the same bolt ons.

This GT40P motor with the addition of 24lb injectors, 4.30 gears in my dads 91 ran 12.0s all day in the heat @ 112 mph, and its best was a 7,481 @ 90 in the 1/8th (would translate into an 11.8 or so at 115).

Regular GT40 valves, and a decent valve job... The cam is 2 degrees retarded, cars makes about 285 to the tires. Also revs to 6000 RPM (when the cam was 4 degrees retarded) and still drives great and gets good mileage.

Yeah they are good heads. The car is slower than the 91 the motor was in, but I have a feeling 12.3s or better are soon to come. Brother doesn't abuse it too bad yet as he is still getting used to the fox, and it was a nice 85+ out that day at a so so track.

Etown this fall with some hard powershifts, low 12s!
