Thought I would start a build thread on my fox since I have been making some progress lately.
Here it is the day I brought it home about 2 and half years ago. $1600 running and driving. 180k miles bone stock.
I bought it as a project but shortly after that my truck was stolen so I ended up daily driving it for about 6 months.
Rebuilt the stock bottom end, mass air conversion, bbk Longtubes, O/R H pipe, 10 series. Stock intake, stock heads with triclflow valve springs and a b cam.
And here is where we are now. I have been sanding on it for a few days now, I usually only have an hour or two at a time. Haven't decided on a color yet but I'll probably just repaint it black.
I'm trying to get it back on the road so I can enjoy it while I gather up the rest of the parts for my build. I have a decent amount of parts stocked up already but still have a ways to go.
This is going to be the future power plant. Non roller 351w but I'm going to use link bar lifters and run a roller cam.
The current plan is just punch it .030 over, forged pistons, stock crank and rods, AFR 205s, TFS intake and an on3 kit. But I have also been considering an NA 408. I have plenty of time to think about it and do some more research since the car isn't anywhere near ready for that kind of power. I'm going to build the rest of the car before I even start on the new motor.
Its going to be a long process but it has been coming along fairly well so far.
