'87 GT, low coolant light on all the time

Everything is full, and the switch seems to be working. It has a float in the resvoir where my '92 just has a wire that goes to the bottom.

The float mechanisim shows 1ohm open 12 ohms closed. So whats the problem ? Why wont the light stay off ?

Typical of the era. Either unplug the sensor (light will go away) or replace the sensor. Only choices.

I had the same problem. Unplug yours and it will never come on again.
