Alright, I'm selling my baby asking $3500 firm. Here is the skinny: 94,500 Miles on the ORIGINAL UNTOUCHED 302 This car was an AOD, two years ago I swapped in a 5spd. The tranny had 2nd and 3rd gear syncros replaced, but I think the 5th gear syncro is going (grinds sometimes when I shift into it). I double clutch into fith gear without issues. It has the Steeda Triax shifter, and can bang through gears 1 - 4 like there is no tomorrow. I am the 3rd owner of the car, I have had it since May 1999. The 1st owner had it in florida for 54,000 miles, 2nd owner had it from 54-56,000 miles, I bought it with 56,000 miles. 90% of the miles I've put on the car are highway, college was a 320 mile round trip to home. I have never taken it the the drag strip, I've autox'ed with it twice 6 yrs ago with the AOD. The car has never let me down, it's a solid runner. I've had to drive it in 4 winters now, I'm sorry to do that but had no choice. The undercarrage is pretty much rust free. I did have an alternator fire, the fire was put out before it caused too much damage (mostly damage to the front of the motor, serp belt, rad hose, radiator, alternator wiring). I fixed it all (except the A/C), have all the recipts to prove it along with the original damge estimate from my insurance company. This may or may not show up on the carfax report. Even have pictures of the carnage if you're interested. There are no rips or tears in the interior. The center armrest pad has fallen off. Saggy map pockets as expected. New parts last spring: - Front rotors, wheel bearings, brake pads - Ball joints, outer tie rods, steering rack (cheaper to buy the rack then two inner tie rods) - Wheel lock cylinders for the rear wheels. (Drum brakes are about 4.5 yrs old, still have 1/4 - 1/2 pad left). Upgraded/new parts over the years: * Was told original owner swapped in 3.55s, never confirmed. - 3g Alternator, 4gauge wire, 150A fuse (5yrs) - High torque mini starter, starter solenoid from a 93 car. (3yrs) - 3 Core radiator (5yrs) - Pacesetter off road h-pipe (2yrs) - Heater core (5yrs) - Diamond clear headlights (2.5yrs) - Kenny Brown sub frame connectors (5yrs) - Steeda Strut tower brace (4yrs) - Two chamber flows (5yrs....but starting to get leaks) - Plugs and wires changed every 1-2yrs - K&N Air filter - Rewired headlights/foglights/high beams so power is feed through a relay (4yrs) - Pioneer cd player head unit, kenwood 240 watt sub amp, mtx 12" woofer. Areas that need work: - Needs new tires. - Carpet is seeing it's age, many stains, no tears. - Door lock actuators don't work - Rust on the bottom lip of the hatch back - Speedometer bounce, plus it's off by 10 mph due to tranny swap. - Engine coolent temp sensor bad. - Gas smell in the car, I think this is a fuel vent issue, I've just changed the charcol canister purge solenoid which seems to have helped. - Pony rims were cleaned in the past with wrong cleaner (not me) so they need to be painted to look right. - Weather stripping has seen better days. - Driver and passenger doors sag (bushings as expected). This car has never been in an accident. The body is in great shape expect for the rust on the hatch, there are dents, paint scratches and all that that would be expected from a 15 year old car. Paint is still good on the ground effects (exept one spot, my fault). Ok think thats all I can think of right now! Questions just ask!
