94 Convertible, How can I repair tears cheap and fast?

    First off this is my first post here, I'm new so HI!

    I just bought my first Mustang, its a 94 convertible and it has a bit of X Girlfriend written all over it as you can see below:

    What do you guys suggest to fix it up for now, it needs to be cheap. I'll replace the whole top later :p

    I'd cut all those little flaps off with a razor, and then get a sheet of nylon or canvas fabric from a fabric store and glue it down with spray adhesive (mask the rest of the car). Glue down the front edge really well so the wind doesn't peel it back. Obviously, don't put the top down until you are able to get it replaced.

    Speaking from experience, when you get a new top don't try to install it yourself! Take the car to an auto upholstery shop or somewhere that does tops for a living. Getting those things to go on straight without wrinkles is a true art!
