This is totally unrealted, but whats the differnce between a firebird and the trans am?

I was in your shoes also but my wife gave me a solution. I told her when we finish paying for my GT and her Explorer in less than 2yrs she can get what ever SUV she wants. She said she didn't want an SUV she wanted a Mustang so of course I thought the new '06 style GT but she said "YEA RIGHT." She wants an '03/'04 COBRA:nice: I really really really love my wife!

The Trans Spam has diff. ground effects, LS1 V8, 6 speed manual, bigger rear spoiler, bigger tires and wheels, "ram air" hood, prob bigger brakes and the interiors on both are also the same.

I really feel like I hit the jackpot w/her she is beautiful loves going to the track w/me so I let her race once and that's all it took to get her hooked. BTW I'm not into the "sharing" thing but I think her older sister and her hubby are.

how old is older? i am only 22. haha. I don't think my G/F would approve though. She drives a subaru, wagon. and she drives slower than my grandmother, but shes hot... and doesn't crash so i can't ask for it all.

Well at least you won't be worried about going to the track and getting owned by your girl:bang: Seriously though it kinda sucks that she will have a faster car than mine but she has done a lot for me so she deserves it.

Well, depends on what trim level you are talking about, because they are all Firebirds. The trim levels are, Firebird, Formula, and Trans Am. There are more, such as the Blackbird, but I'll only talk about what GM made.

The Firebirds are the cheapest and only has the 3800 engine (v6). Had weaker 4 speed auto, or a 5 speed manual.

The Formula is the same as the Firebird, but has the Trans Am equipment. power windows for example were an option. It had the LS1, and choice of 4 speed auto or 6 speed manual. From 98-00 the Formula could have the WS6 package.

Trans Am had different ground effects, different facia, raised spoiler, larger wheels and brakes, ls1 and the A4 or M6 tranny. Many options came standard on T/As, like power windows, leather, t-top, ect. WS6 package could be ordered.

The WS6 package upgraded the rims and tires, raised speed limiter, and added the Ram Air hood and airbox. The suspension was also upgraded, along with the exhaust.

There's more, but that's the things I can think of off the top of my head.

thnx, i have trouble keeping all those things straight. And I can never tell by looking at them what model they are. It sucks when you are at a light next to one and are wondering... is it a v6, or the mighty LS1. :)
