Hello everyone, my friend just bought a 99 gt. I had a few questions, i did do search and found out some info but i still have some questions so here they are. First He wants to go with black bullits from mustangtuning.com. Were looking at 9 in the front and 10.5 in the rear. My question is about the front with 9 inches does it rub? I know on my car i have 9 all around and it rubs really bad on the control arm when i turn, does it do the same on 99's? For tire selection hes going with nitto dr's 315's in the rear and in the front 245's cause there cheaper, but im also wondering what is a good tire for the front? i know nitto 555's are good because i have them but is there any other street tires that are cheaper for the front? I guess ill throw a few other questions i had in here, another one is about the mach 1 chin spoiler, what do you need to instal it? We looked on 50resto and they seem to have the cheapest one but it says hardware not included, the only one ive seen with hardware is mustangsunlimited and they have the chin for 70 bucks! and an instalation kit for 10 bucks, do i need that? were also looking at the mach 1 side scoop and the gt hoodscoops, those will fit a 99 gt right? and also what are some spring options, i like the ford "c" springs but i think he wants a little more of a drop, are eibach pro series good? I guess ill just ask one more questions are subframes a must on these carS? i know on foxbodies they are but not sure how much flex this year has, thanks for any answers.

The 9s up front i would use 275-40s I think thats the stock size on a cobra and if they fit a cobra stock then no problem on a 99. if your going to use a 245s i would get 8" rims. i have 8s on the front with 245-45s and 9s on the rear with 275-40s and they are all the same height. the chin spoiler is held on with some plastic pushins. should be able to get them at ford. here is a place on ebay for 60 plus 15 shipping and it comes with all the hardware http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...ry=33638&item=7944579478&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW the side scoops and hood scoop will fit. I just bought a hood scoop for my 99.

275/40-17's all around on my wife's 01 (with 9" Cobra R rims) - not a problem at all on the SN95 Gen2...plenty of room to spare.

There's a ton more room on the 99+ mustangs than Foxes. Guys regularly run 10.5" rims out back. 315's are about the max you can go, and something there is a bit of rubbing on lowered cars.

Order the chin spoiler from www.mustangtuning.com along with the mach 1 grill delete. he chin spoiler is like $60 and comes with the hardware. By the way, all the hardware is are 1/4 black nylon push pins you can get from autozone. If you want to know what they look like, the stock honeycomb grill is held on by a couple on the top. They look like the have screw heads.

The side and hood scoops will also fit on the 99-00 cars. The side scoops come on all 01+ Mach's GT's and Cobras. The V6's got the 99-00 side scoop while the bulliitt gets s scoop delete

Be very carefull. I have a 99 GT LE with the stock wheels (17X8) and tires (245-45) up front. I put in a Roush sway bar, which is about 1/8" larger in diameter than the stock unit and if I go hard over with the wheel there isn't more than 1/16" clearance between the tire and sway bar. If you're going to use larger wheels and tires up front, make sure you have enough offset so everything clears. Out back has plenty of room for wide boots.
