well i finally found a new engine for my svo, its a complete turbo motor out of a 88 turbocoupe, i plan on tearing it down and reringing it and changing all the gaskets out and such since its been sitting for a couple years now, any recommendations on what i should do while its tore down and also what parts on this engine would be better to keep on it when its rebuilt, and what are the specifications of this engine? thanks in advance for any advise.

Well, a port & polish job on the head is always a good idea.

As far as what's better to keep, I'm not sure...I think both engines are pretty identical, but I don't know the exact specifics on SVO's to be honest.

The engines are basically identical. Like Red_LX said, have the head done. Give Boport a call. Compliment the head job with a 3" exhaust and you'll be happy!

Oh yeah, something I just thought of- make sure you put the SVO's accessories, brackets and pulleys on the TC engine, obviously (since the SVO isn't serpentine)
