Here is it from a more "trusted source". Can you smell their spin?

Great news for the 2010 election. C'mon dems.. Go against the will of the people and force an unpopular bill through. According to Nancy, it's just a fringe and she's not worried if she loses a few seats..

It's in this part. They just focus on the negative. Reporting from the assumption that the bill is bad for all those involved.

It does go on to say...
So maybe I'm just being a bit nit picky. This whole health care thing is a sore subject for a bleeding heart liberal like me.

Actually that information (membership numbers) was not important.

The article goes on to get more to the point though.

So really the true bias here is YOU, not the source...

How is the information NOT relevant.

Story mentioning that fact (150,000 left because of difference in opinion) shows that while the Organization supports it, it wasn't uniformly supported

Story not mentioning that fact implies that the organization as a whole uniformly supports it.

    :shrugs:

If this is an example of what you deem "bias" and "slant" I start to see more clearly why you might be up in arms so much.....

    Lighten up Francis......

The AARP leadership supports what the membership doesn't. Same thing goes with the labor unions, the various police associations, and other organizations et.al. Anyone see a parralell to the Democrats in charge of Congress ? The a-holes in charge are nearly ALWAYS out of touch with reality.

the only reason that AARP is supporting the health care legislation is because they are going to make a ton of money from it.

They keep sending us stuff to join up, but until they remove the people (libs) running it, that'll never happen.:rlaugh: Besides, I may be 50 years old, but I REFUSE TO GROW UP !!!!!!:rlaugh:

    That's Shocking!!!

Not all of AARP's members are of your mindset though. What percentage of members are opposed to healthcare reform?

More than you think, my parents and most of their friends have chosen to opt out since AARP got behind the big ZERO. They called and voiced their opinions and weren't listened to, so what choice did they have? Kinda like what going to happen in the coming elections. :rlaugh:

there is a good percentage of the membership that doesnt want the health care reform bill, just like there was a good percentage that didnt want the medicare part D bill passed. the point here is that the AARP leadership is quite liberal.

I'm sure there members want reform, I'm almost positive they are against a liberal health care take over.
